The Brief

Gymnazien came to us with an ambitious scope: give Indian gymnastics a home. Not a brochure — a home. Every discipline — all seven, from Women's and Men's Artistic to Rhythmic, Trampoline, Acrobatic, Aerobic and Parkour — and every stakeholder in the sport, from a first-timer in a small-town club to a state association running a championship, had been operating on paper entry forms, hand-tallied scoresheets and results scattered across PDFs and group chats. The brief was a platform where the grassroots and the national meet in the same place.

The Approach

Everything follows from one decision: one account, every role.

  • The public site — a national scoreboard: live competition results, athlete rankings, the results archive, announcements, and a club directory that tells a family exactly where training happens near them.
  • The role portals — the same login adapts to the person. An athlete gets score history, rankings and a digital ID card; a judge gets a scoring panel; an association runs competition entries and publishes results; a parent tracks attendance, fees and progress.
  • A design language built for the sport's energy — deep ink, competition red, Anton display type against a mono scoreboard, film grain and a live badge that makes the site feel like it is broadcasting, not reporting.

The Build

The platform is a static multi-page frontend — fast on thin connections, cheap to host — talking to a Node.js/Express API with Google sign-in. Live scores flow in on a real-time feed; the club directory is a Leaflet map with a "near me" shortcut; official GFI manuals and training videos sit in a private vault only registered members can stream; and a Capacitor wrapper ships the whole experience as a mobile app.

The Outcome

Seven disciplines, six roles, one platform. Track. Compete. Dominate. Gymnazien is now the digital home of Indian gymnastics — the public scoreboard for the sport, and the working system for everyone who runs it.
